Song for Father’s Day: “Bucket Brigade”

When we were kids, our dad made a game of doing the dishes, and we made like six firefighters with six stations, gettin’ ‘em all washed and rinsed and put away. At the end of his life, we all cared for him and the six of us were his pallbearers. Lucky us. He loved old movies and he’d always greet me with “Whattaya know, whattaya say?” I wrote this to remember that, and him. Love to all the dads and sons and daughters this weekend, especially my brothers and sisters.
